Similar to other clubs, we use the British Cycling website to administer the club membership. The club membership runs on a rolling annual basis from the date of each individual joining.

For those applying for Family Membership members, anyone under 18 is required to have a Westbury Wheeler Parental Consent Form.
If you would like to come out for 2 free trial rides, please join the Green Ride (details below) which leaves Market Place in Westbury at 2 pm every Saturday for a gentle 10 - 20 mile ride. All capabilities are catered for. No obligation to join afterwards.

British Cycling Membership
Note: British Cycling membership is optional. You do not need to join them to pay your Westbury Wheelers subscription, though they do offer additional member benefits.
Insurance
As a British Cycling affiliated club, Westbury Wheeler is provided with third party (public) liability insurance with an indemnity limit of £15m. Third party (public) liability insurance indemnifies the club and its officials against their legal liability for personal injury, death and/or property damage to a third party arising from their negligence.
Clubs and club officials must endeavour to follow best practice guidelines laid down by British Cycling as these form thebasis for cover agreed with our insurers.

We recommend all members have their own third‑party liability insurance for cycling. This is sometimes included in home insurance policies, or it can be obtained through membership of organisations such as British Cycling or Cycling UK.
Green Ride - Your first ride with us
The Green Ride is all about welcoming new riders no matter your ability and we always ride at the pace of the slowest rider. It also gives us a chance to access your skill to make sure we can guide you towards the right club rides on Sundays.
It is also the perfect entry point to build confidence, learn group skills, and work towards the coveted Green Rider Awards.

Hit the milestone of riding the Bottom Circuit (20.47 miles in 90 mins) and your springboard to other rides like the Yellow Group or Thursday socials.

For those who want to challenge themselves further, once you’ve earnt your green rider award you can then go to achieve your silver award (80 mins), followed by your gold award (75 mins), but you do have to do them in sequence!
